Description

Phenyl isothiocyanate (PITC) is a reagent used in reversed phase HPLC. PITC is less sensitive than o-phthaldehyde (OPA) and cannot be fully automated.

Application

P 1680 (OTTO) Phenyl isothiocyanate, 95%+ Cas 103-72-0 - used in sequencing peptides by Edman degradation and in amino acid analyses by HPLC.
