Sodium iodate, GR 99%+
: Iodic acid, sodium salt
: Sodium iodate (NaIO3) is the sodium salt of iodic acid. Sodium iodate is an oxidizing agent, and as such it can cause fires upon contact with combustible materials or reducing agents.
: S 2047 (OTTO) Sodium iodate, GR 99%+ - used in the manufacture of disinfectants, antiseptics and deodorants. It acts as a significant part in the oxidation of aromatic, aliphatic, and alicyclic thiols. Potassium tetrahydroborate and sodium iodate in acidic aqueous solution react with cadmium to generate chemical vapor, which is useful for atomic fluorescence spectrometry application.
