Titanium tetrachloride, 99%

Code: T 1814

(For eg. B 1615-0108)

Titanium tetrachloride is the inorganic compound with the formula TiCl4.

T 1814 (OTTO) Titanium tetrachloride, 99% Cas 7550-45-0 - used to make the pigment titanium dioxide (TiO2). T 1814 (OTTO) Titanium tetrachloride, 99% Cas 7550-45-0 - used to make titanium metal, pigment titanium dioxide and is used in smoke screens. It is involved in the activation of pyrrolidines for better conversion through a modified Bouveault reaction, to the corresponding alpha, alpha -dimethylamines. In organometllic chemistry, it is used to prepare complexes like titanocene dichloride, which is a precursor to Ziegler-Natta catalysts. Tebbe's reagent is an aluminum containing derivative of titanocene used for the olefination reactions.
