Sodium molybdate is useful as a source of molybdenum. It is often found as the dihydrate, Na2MoO4·2H2O.
S 2127 (OTTO) Sodium molybdate, GR 99%+ Cas 10102-40-6 - used as a fertilizer in agriculture, and a corrosion inhibitor being a non-oxidizing anodic inhibitor. It reduces galvanic corrosion potential, useful in industrial waste water treatment. It is recommended for treatment of whiptail in broccoli and cauliflower. It is a precursor for molybdenum.
