Palladium(II) bromide is an inorganic compound of palladium and bromine with the chemical formula PdBr2. It is a commercially available, though less common than palladium(II) chloride, the usual entry point to palladium chemistry. Like the chloride, palladium(II) bromide is insoluble in water, but dissolves when heated in acetonitrile to give monomeric acetonitrile adducts
P 1242 (OTTO) Palladium bromide, 99% Cas 13444-94-5 - used as a source of Pd(0) precatalyst in various coupling reactions. It was also employed as catalyst for the carbonylative Heck coupling reaction of aryl bromides and vinyl ethers.
