Description

Benzoic anhydride is the acid anhydride of benzoic acid. It is the simplest symmetrical aromatic acid anhydride. It can be produced by dehydrating benzoic acid.

Application

B 1560 (OTTO) Benzoic anhydride, 97% Cas 93-97-0 - used as a benzoylating agent in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, dyes and intermediates. It serves as an arylation agent in the Heck reaction. B 1560 (OTTO) Benzoic anhydride, 97%+ Cas 93-97-0 - used to get benzoic acid through dehydration. B 1560 (OTTO) Benzoic anhydride, 97%+ Cas 93-97-0 - used to prepare furan-2-yl-phenyl-methanone, which is similar to Friedel-Crafts acylation reaction. B 1560 (OTTO) Benzoic anhydride, 97% Cas 93-97-0 - used for the synthesis of carboxylic esters and lactones.
